Weekly links round-up: 18/04/15

The latest issue of Methods in Ecology and Evolution is a special edition exploring the opportunities at the interface of ecology and statistics. The special edition includes open access articles investigating how to account for error in climate variables in SDMs and methods for identifying the loci of adaptive evolution. It also includes the paper on point processes for SDMs which we have previously blogged about.

Swirl and DataCamp have teamed up to create a useful resource for learning R. I’d definitely appreciate something similar for Python (and I’m sure other members would too), so if anyone has any recommendations please let us know in the comments.

Jobs Postdoc in Statistical Ecology at Washington State University researching the impacts of disturbance on marine mammals. There are currently 4 open academic positions in the Centre for Ecology  and Conservation at the University of Exeter: 3 Lecturer/Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor positions, and a Professor position.
